GPStamper™ v.3.9.1.0 released 2012-01-20

Automatically extract from a geotagged image’s metadata, and then visually imprint (stamp), the GPS position, location description, altitude, date, date and time, or any combination of these or any other file metadata, onto a JPEG photo with no loss in image quality. It is a lossless JPEG process (utilizing a special algorithm) where only the region of the stamp is recompressed, the rest of the image remaining 100% original to preserve image quality.  The stamping process is quick and intuitive (just 2 steps), with very high quality results.  GPStamper is optimized for batch processing entire folders (of hundreds or thousands of images) via drag-and-drop.

GPStamper is designed for aerial photographers, earth scientists, geologists, surveyors, archaeologists, foresters, biologists, naturalists, historians, genealogists and all others who regularly geotag their photos.  If you have geotagged your photos with a geotagging camera (e.g. Canon  SX230HS, Nikon AW100, Panasonic DMC-ZS10, Sony DSC-HX9V, etc.) you may find that stamping a photo’s location is of great benefit when in the future your memory begins to fade about what photo was taken where and when! 

Never rely on a photo’s metadata (where the GPS location is stored in the file) to always be retained.  Metadata can be easily corrupted or even stripped away when copying, editing or saving your photos with various software.

GPStamper includes easy to use geotagging, reverse geotagging, and other tools to make your work with geotagged images more productive.  These tools function in sync with GPStamper, affording a smooth workflow from geotagging to stamping.  Creating KML files or stamping the Geotag Icon are added options.
